Our Story
Founded by Dr. Stephanie Liu, a Canadian family physician and mom of two, the brand was developed in response to a common concern she saw in clinic: families wanted natural skincare options but were hesitant to rely on topical steroids long-term, and many existing “natural” products were not backed by science—or worsened sensitive skin.
Working with physicians and researchers at the University of Alberta, Dr. Liu developed by Dr Mom Skincare using beta-glucan, a powerful ingredient derived from oats and barley that has been shown in multiple studies to improve skin healing, hydration, and barrier function, including in conditions like eczema.
